Nets Outlast Raptors In Overtime
The Brooklyn Nets defeated the visiting Toronto Raptors, 131-129, in overtime at Barclays Center on Tuesday evening.

The contest got out to a competitive start, as the Nets led, 33-32, after one quarter. They picked up the pace in the second and rallied to a 10-point lead by halftime. The Raptors came out on fire in the third and outscored the hosts, 44-25, in the third quarter, to claim a nine-point lead heading into the final quarter. The Nets fought back in the fourth and trailed by three, with less than a minute left, but Patty Mills came up with a clutch triple, to force overtime. The score stayed close through the extra frame, but the Nets grabbed the edge in the final minutes and held on for the hard-fought home win.

Kevin Durant led the Nets with 34 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists and a block, in 48 minutes. Patty Mills added 30 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal, while Nicolas Claxton chipped in 16 points, seven rebounds and a block. The Nets shot 48.5 percent from the field, including 14-of-39 from long range.

Meanwhile, Fred VanVleet led the way for the Raptors with 31 points, four rebounds, nine assists and two steals, in 47 minutes. Pascal Siakam and Gary Trent Jr. followed up with 25 points each, while Scottie Barnes added 23 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. The Raptors shot 46 percent from the field, including 18-of-52 from long range.

The Raptors (13-15) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Warriors on Saturday. The Nets (20-8) take on the 76ers on Thursday.
