Raptors Edge Pelicans, 105-101
The Toronto Raptors defeated the New Orleans Pelicans, 105-101, at Scotiabank Arena on Sunday evening.

The Raptors (20-17) came into the contest looking to keep the good times rolling after rattling off five consecutive victories, but they encountered a tough opponent from the outset in a Pelicans (14-26) squad that was missing Josh Hart (personal). Toronto clawed its way to a tiny one-point halftime lead, and it ultimately took a Chris Boucher tip shot and Khem Birch free throw to gain enough separation once New Orleans had closed to within a point with 1:20 remaining.

Brandon Ingram led the Pelicans with 22 points, adding five rebounds and four assists. Jonas Valanciunas generated a 20-point, 17-rebound double-double that included one assist, one steal and one block. Herbert Jones furnished 13 points, two rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block. Devonte' Graham and Nickeil Alexander-Walker turned in matching 11-point efforts.

Fred Van Vleet paced the Raptors with 32 points, supplementing them with four rebounds, four assists and two steals. Pascal Siakam managed 29 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and two steals. OG Anunoby delivered 12 points, five boards and two assists.

The Pelicans return home to host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night, while the Raptors remain home and face the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night as well.
