T'Wolves Defeat Knicks, 112-110
The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the host New York Knicks, 112-110, at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday.

It took six ties and 14 lead changes to determine a winner in this game, with Minnesota closing on a 7-2 run over the final 2:12 to prevail. That capped off a 26-19 fourth quarter, with New York missing a game-tying shot and a game-winning three on the final possession of the game. The Timberwolves shot 29-of-38 from the free-throw line while the Knicks hit just 24-of-33. In addition, Minnesota recorded 10 steals and six blocks while winning the turnover battle, 18-12.

The Timberwolves (22-22) were led by Anthony Edwards and his 21 points, two rebounds and three assists. Karl-Anthony Towns tallied 20 points, five rebounds and three assists. D'Angelo Russell registered 17 points, two rebounds and four assists, while Patrick Beverley provided seven points, five rebounds, six assists and three steals. Jaylen Nowell led the bench with 14 points, six rebounds and three assists.

The Knicks (22-23) were led by Evan Fournier, finishing with 27 points, four rebounds and four assists. Julius Randle accrued 21 points, nine rebounds, nine assists and four blocks. Kemba Walker amassed 19 points, two rebounds and four assists, while R.J. Barrett totaled 17 points, six rebounds and two assists. No other player had more than eight points, six rebounds or one assist.

Minnesota returns to action on Wednesday, traveling to face the Atlanta Hawks. As for New York, they return to action on Thursday in a home matchup with the New Orlean Pelicans.

Warriors Blast Pistons, 102-86
The Golden State Warriors defeated the Detroit Pistons, 102-86, at Chase Center on Tuesday night.

The Warriors (32-12) came into the contest as big home favorites with Stephen Curry returning from a one-game absence due to a hand injury, and they began to validate their status immediately. Golden State had an 11-point edge after one quarter and had forged a 28-point lead over the Pistons (10-33) by halftime. Steve Kerr's squad took its foot off the gas in the second half and scored just 36 points over the final two quarters but still won comfortably.

Rodney McGruder led the Pistons with 19 points, complementing them with five rebounds, one assist and one steal. Hamidou Diallo generated a 16-point, 13-rebound double-double that included two steals and one block. Isaiah Stewart posted 14 points, 11 rebounds and one block. Trey Lyles finished with 13 points, five boards, two assists and one block. Saddiq Bey poured in 10 points.

Klay Thompson paced the Warriors with 21 points, supplementing them with four assists, three rebounds and two steals. Andrew Wiggins registered 19 points, three rebounds, one assist, three steals and one block. Curry furnished 18 points, eight assists, three rebounds and three steals. Jonathan Kuminga turned in 12 points, 10 rebounds, one assist and one steal.

The Pistons remain on the road and pay a visit to the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night, while the Warriors host the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night.
