Endangered Ivory?

Notes from Thursday's Training Camps:

- Both Arian Foster and Andre Johnson will miss Saturday's preseason game according to Bill O'Brien. Foster (undisclosed) and Johnson (hamstring) have both been held out of practice over most of the week and neither injury is believed to be serious. Owners shouldn't worry at this point, although seeing them on the field over the next 7-10 days would ease any concerns.

- Odell Beckham is getting close to returning to the practice field. Beckham is missing valuable time getting down the Giants' new offense as well as building his rapport and timing with Eli Manning. In related news, Reuben Randle has drawn rave reviews in camp and could end up as the main red zone target given his size. Look for Beckham to compete with both Reuben Randle and Jerrel Jernigan for snaps and targets once he returns.

- It may be time to tap the brakes on the Ladarius Green hype train. Reports indicate that Antonio Gates will be the starting tight end as well as see most of the targets in the red zone. It's hard to figure out when the torch will be officially passed but that time doesn't appear to be soon. Green will likely still see 3-5 targets per game but without an injury to Gates he'll struggle to produce top-10 value at the position, the upside owners have drafted him for.

- DeMarco Murray, Jason Witten and Lance Dunbar all sat out of Thursday's preseason game for the Cowboys. Given how much Dallas has been bitten by the injury bug, this move makes sense. Jason Witten isn't getting any younger either and I personally could see a huge fantasy drop this season.

- Chris Ivory suffered a rib injury and did not return. The severity of the injury is unknown as I write this Thursday night and I'm sure there will be some tests run Friday. Bilal Powell is already out with a hamstring injury and suddenly Chris Johnson's stock could be trending up.

- Marshawn Lynch, DeSean Jackson, Michael Crabtree, Ahmad Bradshaw and Reggie Wayne all sat out Thursday's preseason games. No reason to panic here as all were supposedly held out as a precaution, nursing minor injuries.
