FanDuel College Football: Championship Week Main Slate

This article is part of our FanDuel College Football series.

With the regular season reaching its conclusion, we have made it to Championship Week, featuring many of the best teams in the college football landscape. That leads to a somewhat unorthodox slate of games that has a number of unconventional teams in some prime fantasy spots in the main slate. The two highest over-under totals, by a long shot, feature Northern Illinois-Kent State (74.0) and Wake Forest-Pittsburgh (71.0). The remaining six games on the slate feature expected totals of 53.0 or lower. Given that this is the case, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Kent State (38.75), Pittsburgh (37.0), Northern Illinois (35.35) and Wake Forest (34.0) are also the top four teams for expected score. Cincinnati (31.75) is the only other team featuring an expected score north of 30 points.

In terms of favorites, Michigan (-10.5) is the only team favored by double digits this week. the remaining games all have lines of 6.5 points or fewer. This also shouldn't be surprising considering these are conference championship games.

There are no real weather concerns this week.

Notable Injuries/Absences

QB

Rocky Lombardi, Northern Illinois - Didn't play in last week's regular-season finale and his status for Saturday is unclear.

Gerry Bohanon, Baylor - Hamstring will be monitored leading up to Saturday's game. Was a participant in a walk-through practice Tuesday so there is hope he could play.

Lucas Johnson, San Diego State - Status is in question for Saturday due to a right knee injury. Jordan Brookshire is expected to start under center either way.

Andrew Peasley, Utah State - Dealing with significant injury and is questionable-to-doubtful for Saturday.

RB

Brian Robinson, Alabama - Termed day-to-day but expected to do some stuff in practice Thursday. Likely a GTD.

Harrison Waylee, Northern Illinois - Hasn't played since early October and seems unlikely to do so Saturday.

Justice Ellison, Wake Forest - Didn't suit up for the last two games but had 30 carries in the two prior to his absence. Status will be worth monitoring.

Israel Abanikanda, Pitt - Available for ACC Championship Game after missing last week.

T.J. Wisham, Louisiana-Lafayette - Off injury report after missing time with illness.

Ivory Kelly-Martin, Iowa - Hasn't played the last two weeks and status for Saturday remains unclear. Tyler Goodson should see most of the carries either way.

Kendall Milton, Georgia - Described as a game-time call for Saturday but has practiced this week.

WR

Cole Tucker, Northern Illinois - Is listed as a starter on the depth chart after being a co-starter on last week's chart and sitting out.

Taysir Mack, Pittsburgh - Hasn't played since October but could make an impact if available.

Tyrice Richie, Northern Illinois - Not listed on the depth chart for this week. Likely leaves him in line to miss the MAC Championship Game.

Michael Young Jr., Cincinnati - Was expected to be available last Friday but didn't end up playing. Would still seemingly bode well for his chances of playing this week.

KeSean Carter, Houston - Done for the season with a foot injury that required surgery.

Kearis Jackson, Georgia - Also considered a game-time decision but has practiced this week. Worth checking his status in warmups.

Tyrell Shavers, San Diego State - Didn't practice Tuesday, likely leaving his status in question for Saturday.

Melquise Stovall, Pittsburgh - Has barely played since Week 9 but could contribute if he's able to play.

TE

Braden Cassity, Oklahoma State - Hasn't played since Week 9 but was a big help as a blocker in the run game when healthy.
