Old Dominion head coach Ricky Rahne announced Jan. 19 that Kennedy committed to the Monarchs, joining the program as a transfer from East Carolina.

Old Dominion marks the third stop of Kennedy's collegiate career after he spent two years in the JuCo ranks with Lackawanna College before joining East Carolina in 2020. Before opting out midseason, Kennedy appeared in five games for the Pirates, logging 13 tackles and three pass breakups across 175 defensive snaps. He'll have up to two years of eligibility remaining at Old Dominion, but the defensive back could require a waiver from the NCAA in order to compete in 2021.
