2024 Fantasy Outlook
Skinns was unable to record a single top-25 result through 23 starts during his first full season on the PGA Tour in 2021-22, but he's regained status for 2024 after notching five top-10s and a win at the Club Car Championship to ultimately finish 12th on the Korn Ferry Tour's points list in 2023. He'll turn 42 years old in February, but Skinns still poked it an average of 310.1 yards off the tee on the KFT this past season, and he ranked top-15 in par-5 scoring. Read Past Outlooks
Falls short at Houston Open
April 1, 2024
Skinns finished in a share of seventh place at the Texas Children's Houston Open following his one-under 69 in the final round.
ANALYSIS
Skinns shot in the 60s in all four rounds, but it ended up being two shots shy of a potential playoff with Stephan Jaeger. Skinns was in the final group on Sunday and got to just one back after a birdie on 16. After a good drive on 18, Skinns needed to make birdie and instead completely hooked his approach into the bunker and made bogey to drop out of the top-five. Skinns came close at PGA National a month ago as well, but settled for a T4. Those two finishes are his only finishes in nine starts this season better than 67th. Nevertheless, he sits 89th in the FedExCup standings and will hope for a solid showing at the Valero Texas Open.
