Latest Fantasy Rumors
PP time likely to remain minimal
According to Sheng Peng of SJ Hockey Now, coach David Quinn believes he was previously putting too much on Burroughs' plate, which suggests the 28-year-old blueliner's time with the man advantage will likely remain minimal going forward.
ANALYSIS
Burroughs averaged 1:31 of ice time with the man advantage per game through the first 15 contests of the season before sitting as a healthy scratch against Florida on Tuesday. He returned to the lineup against St. Louis on Thursday, and while Burroughs logged 20:46 of ice time in that contest, none of it came on the power play. Burroughs was essentially previously seeing power-play time out of necessity, but with Calen Addison now in the fold after being acquired by San Jose in a trade with Minnesota on Nov. 8 and coach Quinn recently expressing Burroughs' role needs to be reduced, he likely won't see much, if any, time with the man advantage moving forward. Either way, Burroughs has yet to pick up a point while going minus-12 through 15 games this season, so there's no reason for fantasy managers to have him on their radar.
