2022 Fantasy Outlook
Not a ton went right for the Red Wings a season ago, but the play of their two star freshmen - Raymond and defenseman Moritz Seider - was a major plus. Seider ended up winning the Calder Trophy as NHL Rookie of the Year, while Raymond posted 23 goals and 57 points while playing in all 82 games. The Swede displayed the ability to excel with the man advantage, finishing with 18 power-play points. While Raymond's horrific minus-32 rating is concerning, that was more the result of Detroit being a poor team than anything Raymond did himself. Raymond is a candidate for a bump in production given all the quality talent the Wings added this offseason, so don't hesitate to snatch him up in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts.
