Delph announced his retirement and officially ended his playing career Tuesday, Patrick Boyland of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Delph was let go by Everton when his contract expired back in June and failed to land with a new club, in part due to lingering injury concerns. Over the course of his career, Delph won two Premier League titles, three League Cups and one FA Cup, all with Manchester City for which he made 89 appearances across all competitions.

Could leave Everton
MEverton
September 17, 2020
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti is open to let some players leave and Delph could be one of the players to depart before the summer transfer period closes, writes Paul Joyce of The Times.
ANALYSIS
Delph was linked with a move to either Fulham or Leeds United earlier this season, but there wasn't an agreement with either side and the veteran midfielder remains at Everton. That might change before the transfer period closes, however, as Delph simply does not have enough space on Everton's squad to play first-team minutes on a regular basis.
