Rockets Close Out Hard-Fought Road Win
The Houston Rockets defeated the host San Antonio Spurs, 128-124, at AT&T Center on Wednesday evening.

The contest got out to a high-scoring start as the Rockets led, 39-36, after one quarter. The Spurs turned it up in the second and rallied to a four-point lead by halftime. The Spurs held the edge through most of the third, but the Rockets closed the quarter on a, 16-6, run to reclaim a one-point lead heading into the final frame. The Rockets kept up the momentum and pushed to a seven-point mid way through the quarter. They managed to stay in control the rest of the way and close out the hard-fought road win, while this marks the fourth straight loss for the Spurs.

Eric Gordon led the Rockets with 31 points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal, in 32 minutes. Christian Wood followed up with 23 points, 11 rebounds, two steals and a block, while Kevin Porter Jr. added 18 points, four rebounds and two assists. The Rockets shot 55 percent from the field, including 16-of-36 from long range.

Meanwhile, Dejounte Murray led the Spurs with 32 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists and three steals, in 37 minutes. Bryn Forbes followed up with 21 points on 7-of-15 shooting, while Keldon Johnson added 18 points and five rebounds. The Spurs shot 43 percent from the field, including 17-of-46 from deep.

The Spurs (15-26) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Cavs on Friday. The Rockets (12-31) take on the Kings in Sacramento on Friday.
