Jazz Blasts 76ers, 118-96
The Utah Jazz defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, 118-96, at Wells Fargo Center on Thursday night.

The 76ers (14-11) got off to a fast start, racing out to a 32-27 lead through the first 12 minutes. However, that only seemed to wake up the Jazz (17-7), which eliminated their deficit altogether during the second quarter and established a seven-point advantage going into halftime. Utah added another five points to its edge during the third quarter, which made the final period a formality. The visitors spread the offensive wealth across the rotation, with eight players clocking double digits in the scoring column.

Donovan Mitchell paced the Jazz with 22 points, complementing them with six assists, one rebound and two steals. Rudy Gobert generated a 17-point, 21-rebound double-double that included one assist and two blocks. Hassan Whiteside and Bojan Bogdanovic furnished matching 14-point tallies, with Whiteside also pulling down 10 rebounds. Jordan Clarkson and Joe Ingles posted matching 11-point contributions, with Ingles also dishing out seven assists and Clarkson bringing down four boards. Veterans Rudy Gay and Mike Conley delivered 10 points each, with Gay compiling six rebounds.

Joel Embiid led the 76ers with 19 points, supplementing them with nine rebounds, two assists, three steals and one block. Seth Curry supplied 18 points, four assists and two rebounds. Tobias Harris registered 17 points, seven boards, one assist and one block. Tyrese Maxey managed 11 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The Jazz remain on the road and visit the Washington Wizards on Saturday night, while the 76ers remain home and host the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night as well.

Grizzlies Rally Past Lakers In Memphis
The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the visiting Los Angeles Lakers, 108-95, at FedEx Forum on Thursday evening.

The Lakers got out to a good start with a, 29-25, lead after one quarter, but the Grizzlies came out on fire in the second and outscored the visitors by 10, to take a six-point lead at halftime. The Lakers reclaimed the lead early in the third, but the Grizzlies closed the quarter on a, 17-6, run to take a seven-point lead into the final frame. The Lakers fell apart in the fourth, as the Grizzlies rallied to a game-high 16-point lead with just under six minutes left and held on for the impressive home win.

Jaren Jackson Jr. led the way for the Grizzlies, with 25 points, five rebounds and three steals, in 29 minutes. Desmond Bane followed up with 23 points, three rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block, while Tyus Jones and De'Anthony Melton totaled 12 points each. The Grizzlies shot 44 percent from the field, including 14-of-42 from long range.

Meanwhile, Anthony Davis was the high-point man for the Lakers, as he finished with 22 points, eight rebounds, a steal and a block, in 39 minutes. LeBron James logged a triple-double, with 20 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists, four steals and two blocks, while Avery Bradley and Talen Horton-Tucker chipped in 10 points, each. The Lakers shot 46 percent from the field, including 12-of-30 from deep.

The Lakers (13-13) will look to bounce back as they take on the Thunder in OKC on Friday. The Grizzlies (15-11) play host to the Rockets on Saturday.

Spurs Defeat Nuggets, 123-111
The San Antonio Spurs defeated the visiting Denver Nuggets, 123-111, at AT&T Center on Thursday.

San Antonio won all four individual quarters in this game, with the Spurs riding a 37-29 first quarter to their victory. That allowed them to win this game in wire-to-wire fashion, leading by at least four points for the final three quarters. The Spurs shot 52 percent from the field and 43 percent from three-point range while holding the Nuggets to 45 percent from the field and 39 percent from long range. San Antonio ended up out-rebounding Denver, 54-33, while outscoring them in the paint, 58-44.

The Nuggets (12-13) got another triple-double from Nikola Jokic, tallying 22 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists and two steals. Aaron Gordon amassed 25 points, six rebounds and three assists. Will Barton accrued 19 points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals while Monte Morris totaled 13 points, two rebounds and five assists.

The Spurs (9-15) were led by Derrick White and his 23 points, six rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Dejounte Murray collected 20 points, eight rebounds and nine assists. Doug McDermott had 17 points and three rebounds while Jakob Poeltl provided nine points, nine rebounds, seven assists and two blocks. Lonnie Walker led the bench with 21 points, four rebounds and three assists.

These teams will have a rematch on Saturday for their next outing.
