Knicks Use Strong Start To Defeat Hawks
The New York Knicks defeated the Atlanta Hawks, 117-108, at StateFarm Arena on Saturday night.

The Knicks (22-21) moved over the .500 mark with their third straight win, and they managed to get past the Hawks (17-25) thanks to a strong effort on both ends of the court. New York got off to a strong start and grabbed a three-point lead (31-28) following the first quarter, and they bolstered that advantage with a 34-23 score in the second quarter. The Hawks responded with a 26-20 score in the third quarter, but that was not enough to mount a comeback. The Knicks won the final quarter as well and closed things out with a 32-31 score in the final 12 minutes of action.

Julius Randle led the way for the Knicks with 24 points, nine assists and six rebounds, while R.J. Barrett led the way for the Knicks as their highest scorer with 26 points, five boards and three boards. Mitchell Robinson had a double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Evan Fournier delivered 18 points. Alec Burks sniffed a triple-double with 17 points, nine boards and eight assists. No other New York player scored in double digits.

Trae Young paced the way for the Hawks with 29 points while also adding five assists and three rebounds. John Collins had 13 points, and no other Atlanta starter scored in double digits in this one. Danilo Gallinari had 17 points coming off the bench, while Onyeka Okongwu delivered 12 points and five rebounds while coming off the bench.
