Blazers Secure Comfortable Win Over Wizards
The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Washington Wizards, 115-110, at Capital One Arena on Saturday night.

The Wizards (22-21) could not take advantage of their home-field advantage and lost to the Trail Blazers (17-25) in a game where they looked overmatched. Portland quickly jumped out to a 29-24 lead in the first quarter and bolstered that advantage following a 39-33 score in the second quarter. Even though the Blazers fought back, Portland never looked back and also won the third quarter by a 26-23 score. The Wizards won the fourth quarter by a 30-21 score, but that was not enough to mount a comeback. Portland looked impressive and raced out to a win.

Anfernee Simons had another impressive performance and finished with 31 points and 11 assists, and Jusuf Nurkic registered a double-double as well since he ended with 23 points and 14 rebounds. Nassir Little ended with 18 points, while Robert Covington nearly posted a double-double of 15 points and nine boards while adding two assists. Ben McLemore started at shooting guard and ended with 10 points. No other Portland player scored in double digits.

Spencer Dinwiddie led the Wizards with 27 points and seven assists, while Kyle Kuzma posted 16 points and 12 rebounds. Corey Kispert made another start and finished with 13 points and seven rebounds. Montrezl Harrell and Aaron Holiday made an impact off the bench too. Harrell finished with 16 points and five boards. Holiday contributed 10 points, five rebounds and three dimes.
