Nuggets Destroy Lakers, 133-96
The Denver Nuggets defeated the visiting Los Angeles Lakers, 133-96, at Ball Arena on Saturday.

Denver won all four individual quarters by at least five points apiece, getting their lead up to 42 points at times in this blowout. In fact, they led by 13 points at the half and outscored the Lakers in the second half, 60-36. The Nuggets shot 52 percent from the field, 58 percent from three-point range and 94 percent from the free-throw line while holding the Lakers to 44 percent from the field, 33 percent from long range and 74 percent from the charity stripe. In addition, they out-assisted LA, 35-21.

The Lakers (21-22) were led by LeBron James, tallying 25 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Russell Westbrook registered 19 points, five rebounds and three assists. Dwight Howard amassed 14 points and three rebounds, while Trevor Ariza led the bench with nine points, three rebounds and three assists.

The Nuggets (22-19) got another triple-double from Nikola Jokic, collecting 17 points, 12 rebounds and 13 assists. Jeff Green amassed 26 points, three rebounds and four assists. Aaron Gordon totaled 11 points, three rebounds and four assists, while Bones Hyland led the bench with 27 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Denver has to play the second half of a back-to-back set on Sunday, playing host to the Utah Jazz. As for Los Angeles, they return to action on Monday in the exact same matchup.
