Mavs Dominant In Home Win
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the visiting Charlotte Hornets, 120-96, at American Airlines Center on Monday evening.

The Mavs got out to a great start at home with a, 37-20, lead after one quarter. The Hornets had no answers in the second, as the Mavs added another 10 points to their advantage, to make it 27-point lead by halftime. The visitors came out stronger in the third and managed to shave five points off the deficit, making it a 22-point game heading into the final frame. However, the Mavs did not falter in the fourth, as they cruised to their second straight win.

Kristaps Porzingis led the way for the Mavs, with 24 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks, in 25 minutes. Trey Burke followed up with 22 points, three rebounds, six assists and a steal, while Tim Hardaway Jr. tallied 19 points on 7-of-17 shooting. The Mavs shot 52 percent from the field, including 19-of-41 from long range.

Meanwhile, Terry Rozier totaled 20 points, four rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block, while Kelly Oubre Jr. totaled 20 points, three rebounds, four assists and a steal, to lead the Hornets. Gordon Hayward added 17 points, six rebounds and six assists. The Hornets shot 39.5 percent from the field, including 13-of-37 from deep.

The Hornets (15-14) will look to bounce back as they take on the Spurs in San Antonio on Wednesday. The Mavericks (14-13) play host to the Lakers on Wednesday.
