Grizzlies Take Advantage Of Shorthanded 76ers
The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the visiting Philadelphia 76ers, 126-91, at FedEx Forum on Monday evening.

The Grizzlies jumped out to a strong start with a, 37-30, lead after one quarter. They stayed in control through the second and pushed their lead to 12 points by halftime. The 76ers had no answers in the second half, where they were outscored, 58-35, as the Grizzlies charged to their third consecutive win. The 76ers were at a great disadvantage without Joel Embiid (ribs) and Seth Curry (shoulder), who were both late scratches.

Dillon Brooks led the way for the Grizzlies with 23 points, six rebounds, two assists and a steal, in 27 minutes. Jaren Jackson Jr. followed up with 22 points, four rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal, while De'Anthony Melton chipped in 15 pints, four assists, two steals and a block, off the bench. The Grizzlies shot 53 percent from the field, including 14-of-34 from long range.

Meanwhile, Tyrese Maxey led the Sixers with 23 points, seven assists and a steal, in 30 minutes. Charles Bassey followed up with 13 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks, off the bench, while Tobias Harris totaled 12 points, two rebounds, two assists and a block. The 76ers shot 45 percent from the field, including 4-of-22 from deep.

The Sixers (15-13) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Heat on Wednesday. The Grizzlies (17-11) take on the Trail Blazers in Portland on Wednesday.
