Nuggets Defeat Wizards, 113-107
The Denver Nuggets defeated the visiting Washington Wizards, 113-107, at Ball Arena on Monday.

This game was more lopsided than it looked, with Denver leading by 33 points at times in the third quarter. With that said, Washington rode a 37-22 fourth quarter to make it competitive but never got within a five-point margin after the first quarter. Denver hit 29-of-33 from the free-throw line while Washington connected on just 13-of-21. In addition, the Nuggets outscored the Wizards in second-chance points, 15-8, and in fastbreak points, 11-6.

The Wizards (15-13) were led by Bradley Beal and his 19 points, three rebounds and 10 assists. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope totaled 13 points, three rebounds and two assists. Spencer Dinwiddie compiled nine points, five rebounds and three assists, while Davis Bertans led the bench with 21 points and five boards. Aaron Holiday provided 18 points and six rebounds off the bench as well.

The Nuggets (14-13) were led by Nikola Jokic, tallying 28 points, 19 rebounds, nine assists and three steals despite being ejected early in the fourth quarter. Monte Morris amassed 22 points, six rebounds and five assists. Aaron Gordon accrued 16 points, five rebounds and three assists, while Jeff Green had 13 points and five boards.

Both teams return to action on Wednesday, with Denver remaining home to face the Minnesota Timberwolves and Washington traveling to face the Sacramento Kings.
