Nets Finish Strong To Top Hawks In Atlanta
The Brooklyn Nets defeated the host Atlanta Hawks, 113-105, at State Farm Arena on Friday evening.

The contest got out to a tight start and was tied at 26, after one quarter. The score stayed close through the second, but the Hawks came up with a three-point advantage by halftime. The Hawks rallied to an eight-point lead mid way through the third, but the Nets cut it back to a two-point game, heading into the final frame. The score was tied mid way through the fourth, but the Nets took over late and outscored the hosts, 18-10, the rest of the way to close out the road win.

Kevin Durant led the way for the Nets with 31 points, five rebounds, six assists, three blocks and a steal, in 38 minutes. James Harden added 20 points, five rebounds and 11 assists, while LaMarcus Aldridge and Bruce Brown chipped in 15 points each. The Nets shot 49.5 percent from the field, including 6-of-23 from deep.

Meanwhile, Trae Young led the Hawks with 31 points, seven rebounds, 10 assists and two steals, in 36 minutes. John Collins followed up with 20 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals, while Kevin Huerter added 19 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals. The Hawks shot 39 percent from the field, including 11-of-34 from long range.

The Hawks (13-13) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Rockets on Monday. The Nets (18-7) take on the Pistons in Detroit on Sunday.
