Lakers Defeat Thunder, 116-95
The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the host Oklahoma City Thunder, 116-95, at Chesapeake Energy Arena on Friday.

A 32-18 first quarter set the tone for Los Angeles in this game, holding the lead for the final three quarters. In fact, they led by 19 points at the half and carried a 25-point lead into the final frame, getting their lead up to 29 points at times. That allowed them to hold a double-digit lead for the final 40 minutes of play. The Lakers shot 47 percent from the field and 45 percent from three-point range while holding the Thunder to 40 percent from the field and 23 percent from long range.

The Lakers (14-13) were led by LeBron James, tallying 33 points, five rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocks. Avery Bradley amassed 22 points, two rebounds and four steals. Talen Horton-Tucked totaled 11 points, three rebounds and two assists, while Russell Westbrook registered eight points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

The Thunder (8-17) were led by Josh Giddey and his 12 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander accrued 11 points, two rebounds and four assists. Darius Bazley totaled nine points, seven rebounds and three steals. Tre Mann led the bench with 19 points. A total of 13 players played for OKC.

Both teams return to action on Sunday, with Los Angeles playing host to the Orlando Magic and Oklahoma City staying home to face the Dallas Mavericks.
