Raptors Defeat Knicks, 90-87
The Toronto Raptors defeated the visiting New York Knicks, 90-87, at Scotiabank Arena on Friday.

While there were six ties and five lead changes in this game, Toronto held the lead for all but two minutes. That can be attributed to a 31-14 first quarter in favor of Toronto. With that said, New York got it down to a three-point margin in the final seconds but missed two shots to tie in the final 30 seconds. The Raptors shot 12-of-35 from three-point range while the Knicks hit just 9-of-34 from long range. In addition, Toronto recorded nine steals and seven blocks while New York had just four steals and two blocks.

The Knicks (12-14) were led by R.J. Barrett and his 19 points and six rebounds. Julius Randle registered 13 points, 14 rebounds and five assists. Obi Toppin led the beach with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Derrick Rose provided 11 points, six rebounds and four assists.

The Raptors (12-14) were led by Gary Trent Jr, totaling 24 points and three steals. Fred VanVleet collected 17 points, six rebounds, 11 assists and three steals. Chris Boucher had 14 points and eight rebounds, while Pascal Siakam provided 13 points, 12 rebounds and four assists. Scottie Barnes amassed 12 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks.

On deck for New York is a home matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday. As for Toronto, they play host to the Sacramento Kings on Monday for their next outing.
