Cavaliers Defeat T'Wolves, 123-106
The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the host Minnesota Timberwolves, 123-106, at Target Center on Friday.

A 34-20 first quarter set the foundation for Cleveland in this win, grabbing a wire-to-wire victory. In fact, the Cavaliers led by at least 15 points for the final three quarters, getting their lead up to 33 points at times. Cleveland shot 54 percent from the field and 39 percent from three-point range while holding the Timberwolves to 39 percent from the field and 28 percent from long range. In addition, the Cavaliers out-assisted the Timberwolves, 34-24, while out-rebounding them, 47-40. They also outscored them in the paint, 62-42.

The Cavaliers (15-12) were led by Jarrett Allen, amassing 21 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Lauri Markkanen totaled 19 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals. Darius Garland generated 12 points, two rebounds and 12 assists, while Kevin Love led the bench with 18 points, 13 rebounds and four assists.

The Timberwolves (11-15) were led by Karl-Anthony Towns and his 21 points, seven rebounds, two assists and three blocks. Anthony Edwards accrued 13 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Malik Beasley led the bench with 15 points, five rebounds and three assists.

Cleveland has to play the second half of a back-to-back set on Saturday, playing host to the Sacramento Kings. As for Minnesota, they travel to face the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday for their next outing.
